Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
The short version
- You, the parent or guardian, enter a little information about your child (such as first name, birthdate, allergies and conditions) so we can personalize scores. LittleLabel is not directed to children, and children don't use it.
- We treat allergies and conditions as sensitive and use them only to compute scores and run features you ask for.
- Product photos and links you scan are sent to our servers and an AI provider to read the label.
- We use analytics (including session recordings that mask text you type and images) to fix bugs and improve the app, and Meta's SDK for ad measurement. Meta gets your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking.
- We do not sell your personal information. You can delete your account and data at any time.

1. Who we are
LittleLabel is operated by VOLTAIXGROUP LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"), which is the controller of the personal information described here. This policy covers the LittleLabel iPhone app and this website (the "Service"). It should be read with our Terms of Use.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: your name and email address, and an account identifier, when you sign in with Apple, Google or an email and password. If you use Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email", we receive a relay address. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication); we do not see them.
- Child profile information, entered by you: your child's first name (or nickname), birthdate, and optionally sex, feeding stage, allergies, health conditions (for example eczema, reflux, sensitive skin, born premature), your answers about sleep setup, diapering and family allergy history, your goals, shopping focus, strictness setting and notes, and a profile photo if you add one.
- Scans: photos of products and labels you take or choose, store links you paste, and any corrections you submit.
- Your activity in the app: scan results, history, your shelf, favorites and comparisons.
- Communications: what you send us by email or through support, and ratings or feedback you give in the app.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app data: device model, operating system and app version, language, time zone, an app-generated identifier, and IP address (from which an approximate location such as country or region may be inferred). We do not collect precise location.
- Usage and analytics events: screens viewed, buttons tapped, scans started and finished, paywall views, purchases and trial starts, errors and performance data.
- Session recordings: recordings of how the app is used, made of periodic screenshots in which text you type and images (including product photos and profile photos) are masked. Other on-screen text, such as a child's first name or a score shown on a screen, may appear in a recording.
- Diagnostics: error and crash information our app or Apple collects, where available (Apple shares crash reports only if you allow it in iOS settings).
- Push notification token, if you allow notifications.
- Advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Information from third parties
- Apple and Google sign-in: name and email as permitted by you.
- Apple and RevenueCat: purchase and subscription status (for example, trial, active, renewed, cancelled), product and price, and a transaction identifier. We do not receive your payment card details.
- Product and recall data from public sources and providers (such as FDA and CPSC notices and search results for prices), which is generally not personal information.
3. Children's information and COPPA
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Children, including those under 13, must not use the Service, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) applies to information collected online from children under 13; LittleLabel is designed so that only a parent or guardian provides information.
To personalize scores, you, as the parent or legal guardian, may choose to provide limited information about your own child (described in section 2). We use it only to provide the Service to you: to calculate age-appropriate scores, flag allergens, show your child's shelf and history, and similar features. We do not use it to contact your child, build a profile of your child for advertising, or sell it. You can avoid entering optional details, use a nickname instead of a real name, and edit or delete a child profile at any time in the app. Deleting your account deletes the child profiles stored with it (see section 11).
If you believe a child has used the Service or given us personal information directly, contact support@littlelabel.app and we will delete it.
4. Allergies, conditions and other health-related information
Allergies, health conditions, family allergy history and similar answers may be considered health or sensitive information under some laws. We treat them as sensitive. We collect them only when you choose to enter them, use them only to compute scores and provide the features you request (for example, when you ask for better options, the age stage, allergies and conditions, without name or birthdate, are sent to our AI provider to find suitable products), do not use them for advertising or to infer anything beyond that purpose, do not sell or "share" them for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not send them to Meta or other advertising partners. Where the law requires consent to process this information, you give it by entering it, and you can withdraw it by removing the information from the profile or deleting your account. LittleLabel is not a healthcare provider, and this information is not a medical record.
5. How we use information
- To provide the Service: create and secure your account, read labels from your photos and links, compute scores for the selected child, check recalls, suggest alternatives, look up prices, save your shelf and history, and sync them across your devices.
- To manage subscriptions: verify purchases, trials and entitlements, and restore purchases.
- To communicate with you: respond to support requests, send service messages and, if you allow notifications, notifications such as reminders or alerts.
- To improve the Service: understand how features are used, diagnose bugs and crashes, measure performance, and improve label reading, scoring rules and our product database (using product information such as names and ingredients, not your child's profile).
- To measure advertising: understand which ads lead to installs and subscriptions (see section 7).
- For safety, security and legal reasons: prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
Where laws such as the GDPR apply, our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the Service; your consent (for tracking and, where required, sensitive information); and compliance with legal obligations.
Automated processing. Scores are produced automatically by software. They are informational and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. We do not use your information for automated decisions about your eligibility for anything.
6. Service providers
We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it:
| Provider | Purpose | Information |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase and Google Cloud | Sign-in, cloud database, server functions, hosting, push notifications | Account info, child profiles, scans and history, device tokens |
| Google Gemini API | Reading product names, ingredients and materials from photos and store pages | Product photos, links and page text; when you ask for better options, your child's age stage, allergies and conditions (never their name or birthdate) |
| Apple | App distribution, Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, notifications | Account and purchase info |
| RevenueCat | Subscription and purchase management | App user ID, purchase and subscription status, device info |
| PostHog | Product analytics and session recordings | Usage events, app user ID, device info, masked screen recordings |
| Meta (Facebook SDK) | Ad attribution and measurement | App events (such as install, trial start, purchase), device info; advertising ID only with your ATT permission |
| SerpApi | Looking up product prices and listings | Product names and search terms (not your profile) |
Some providers (for example Google, Meta and Apple) may also use information under their own privacy policies, as described there. AI providers are used to process your inputs to return results to you.
7. Analytics, advertising and tracking
We use PostHog for analytics and session recordings to see how the app is used and fix problems. We use the Meta SDK to measure whether our ads lead to installs and subscriptions. The Meta SDK receives app events such as installs, trial starts and purchases. It receives your device's advertising identifier only if you tap "Allow" in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. We do not send your child's profile, allergies or conditions, or your scan photos, to Meta.
This website does not use advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
8. When we share information
Besides our service providers, we share personal information only: (a) when you ask us to, for example when you use a share feature or open a link to a retailer (the retailer then receives information under its own policy, and some links are affiliate links that tell the retailer we referred you); (b) to comply with law, legal process or a valid government request; (c) to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or us, and to prevent fraud; (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets, in which case the information stays subject to this policy's commitments; and (e) in de-identified or aggregated form that does not reasonably identify you.
9. No sale of personal information
We do not sell your personal information or your child's information, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. The only disclosure that some state laws might treat as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as "targeted advertising", is ad measurement through the Meta SDK, and the advertising identifier is used only if you permit tracking through Apple's ATT prompt. You can opt out at any time by declining or turning off tracking in iOS settings, or by contacting us.
10. Retention
We keep account information, child profiles, scans and history for as long as your account is active, and delete them when you delete your account (see section 11). Product photos are processed to read the label and are not stored with your account in our cloud database; copies may stay on your device with your history until you delete them or the app. Analytics events and session recordings are kept for limited periods under the retention settings of our analytics provider. We keep purchase records and other information longer only where needed for legal, tax, accounting, security or fraud-prevention reasons, or to resolve disputes. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle. We may keep de-identified or aggregated data and product information (such as a product's name and ingredients) that does not identify you.
11. Deleting your data
- In the app: You → Settings → Delete Account. This deletes your account and the data stored with it in our cloud database, including child profiles, scans, shelf and history.
- On the web: follow the steps at /delete-account.
- By email: write to support@littlelabel.app from the email on your account.
- You can also edit or delete an individual child profile in the app at any time.
Deleting your account does not cancel your Apple subscription; cancel it in iPhone Settings (see /manage).
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and database security rules that limit each account's data to that account. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information. Keep your sign-in credentials safe and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
13. Your rights and choices
- Access, correct and delete: view and edit profiles in the app, delete individual items, or delete your account. You can ask us for a copy of your information or for corrections by emailing us.
- Tracking: allow or decline in Apple's ATT prompt, and change it in iOS settings.
- Notifications: turn them off in iOS settings.
- Optional fields: you can skip optional profile questions; scores will be less personalized.
14. U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California (CCPA as amended by the CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Nebraska and other states with similar laws, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you, and get a portable copy;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete personal information;
- Opt out of the sale of personal information, "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and profiling with legal or similarly significant effects (we do not sell personal information or engage in such profiling; ad measurement can be turned off as described in section 9);
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we use it only for purposes permitted without that right, namely to provide the Service you request);
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights; and
- Appeal our decision on your request by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
To make a request, email support@littlelabel.app. We will verify your request by matching it to your account, and respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days). An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission, and we may ask you to confirm it. We honor Global Privacy Control signals on this website where required; the website does not sell or share personal information.
California notice at collection. In the past 12 months we collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, account and device IDs, IP address); customer records (account and purchase status); characteristics of protected classifications (a child's sex and age, if you enter them); commercial information (subscriptions and purchases); internet or network activity (app usage, session recordings); approximate geolocation inferred from IP; sensitive personal information (account sign-in credentials, and health-related information about your child that you choose to enter); and inferences limited to scores and in-app personalization. Sources, purposes and recipients are described in sections 2, 5, 6 and 8, and retention in section 10. We disclose these categories to the service providers listed in section 6 for business purposes. California residents may also request information about disclosures for direct marketing (Civil Code 1798.83); we do not make such disclosures.
Washington, Nevada and other consumer health data laws. To the extent allergies or conditions are "consumer health data", we collect and use them only to provide the Service you request, do not sell them, and you may access or delete them as described above. Nevada residents may submit an opt-out of sale request to the email above; we do not sell covered information.
15. International users
LittleLabel is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to complain to your data protection authority.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will notify you in the app or on this site before they take effect and, where required, ask for your consent. The "Last updated" date shows the current version.
